Hey friends!
The holidays have a way of sneaking up on us, don’t they? One minute it’s pumpkins and sweaters, and the next your inbox is full of “last chance” sales and school reminders. Somewhere between the cooking, the planning, and trying to keep up with work and family life… our priorities start blending together into one big mental blur.
Before the rush officially begins, I want to invite you to pause. Just for a moment.
Because if we don’t stop to get clear, it’s way too easy to spend the next six weeks chasing every little thing that feels urgent — while the things that truly matter quietly slip to the bottom of the list.
So here are three simple questions I ask myself when I start to feel scattered or stretched too thin.
1. What actually needs to happen this week — not what would just be nice to get done?
Today? or this week? Focus on tasks that are due soon or make a real impact on your day — the things that keep life moving and help you feel in control.
2. What can I trim, pause, or delegate?
Sometimes, clarity comes from taking things off your plate.
Maybe it’s saying no to a volunteer task, ordering the pie instead of baking it, or asking your partner to handle the gift wrap this year. Trimming isn’t failure — it’s focus.
3. What do I need to protect my energy for?
It’s easy to give all your energy away to what’s loudest or most urgent. But your time, focus, and presence are precious. Protect them for the things that make you feel most like you.
That might mean family game night, quiet time with coffee, or a walk outside. Protecting those moments doesn’t just make the holidays calmer — it makes them more meaningful.
You don’t have to do it all. You just have to do what matters most.
And if you’re craving more clarity, structure, and calm heading into the new year — stay tuned. I’ve got something special coming soon that will help you get clear on your priorities, protect your time, and finally feel on top of things again.
