Hey friends!

Sundays used to feel like a race against the clock — trying to cram in laundry, errands, meal prep, family time, and maybe a little rest (if I was lucky). I’d end the night feeling tired but somehow still unprepared for Monday.

Sound familiar?

That’s exactly why I started doing a simple Sunday Reset — not a Pinterest-perfect, color-coded production, but a realistic routine that helps me start the week calm and in control.

Here’s what my Sunday Reset actually looks like:

Laundry — but without the pressure.
I get as much laundry done as possible, but I don’t stress about finishing every load. My mindset? Progress over perfection. I know Wednesday is my next laundry day, so whatever doesn’t get done now will get handled midweek. Plus I fold a little bit when I can like when my daughter is getting herself dressed. I fold a few pieces.

Kitchen & lunches.
I make sure the dishes are done and my daughter’s backpack is packed for daycare. Her lunchbox is set up and ready — I don’t always make her lunch the night before (it depends what’s on the menu), but I do prep the easy stuff: prepackaged snacks, filling her water bottle, and setting things out so the morning feels smoother. The day I am writing this I am so thankful for my reset. My daughter was up half the night and we both woke up very late. I’m so glad everything was ready to go because we were tired.

Work bags & logistics.
I pack up my own work bag, make sure my Supernote and supplies are ready, and do a quick scan of my workspace. It’s amazing how having it all ready to go out the door can make Monday feel lighter.

Family calendar check.
My husband and I check the calendar for the week ahead — appointments, work events, daycare things — just to make sure we’re on the same page. It takes five minutes but saves a ton of “Wait, what’s happening today?” moments later in the week.

The result?

I wake up Monday feeling like I’ve already done half the work. I know what to expect from the day. I know life happens and things pop up but at least I know what is being disrupted and can accommodate those disruptions better. Not because everything’s perfect — but because I took a little time to prepare instead of panic.

If your weeks feel scattered and you’re craving a smoother start, try creating your own version of a Sunday Reset. Keep it simple. Focus on what helps you feel prepared, not what looks impressive.
