Hi Friend,
Even though we haven’t officially hit the first day of fall, I know you can feel it.
Maybe it’s the cooler mornings. Maybe it’s the pumpkin everything. Or maybe we’re all just really, really tired of the heat and mosquitoes.
Either way, you’ve probably started seeing all the cute fall decor in stores and online—and maybe you’ve already brought some of it home.
So now you have all this new, cute fall decor.
Now what?
You might be thinking, Um, Nicole… it’s cute. It’s out. Everyone loves it. It makes me happy.
Great. I love that for you.
But did you ask yourself the most important question before you bought it?
And no, the question isn’t:
“Do I have the perfect spot for this?”
It’s:
“Where will I store this when it’s not fall?”
Yup.
I know. I’m ruining your shopping high and cozy fall mood. Sorry, not sorry.
Because that cute little pumpkin, witch, or fall sign is going to spend way more time in storage than it will on display.
And that means you need to think about more than where you’ll put it now.
You need to think about where it will live for the other months of the year.
Do you have room in your holiday storage?
Will it fit in your existing bins?
Do you actually have space for another bin?
I do this whenever I see something I really love. I pause and picture my holiday storage.
Will it fit?
If the answer is no, I usually leave it behind.
And if I really want it? Then I ask myself:
“What am I willing to let go of to make room for this?”
Because storage space is still space. And if you keep bringing more in without letting anything go, eventually your holiday decor becomes a whole problem of its own.
So, be honest…
Did you already buy some cute fall decor and now you’re wondering where the heck you’re going to store it?
Or maybe your holiday decor is already a disaster—with random bins, overflowing closets, and no idea what’s actually in what.
You don’t have to wait until December to deal with it.
If your holiday decor needs a little help, I’d be happy to help you get it practically organized before the holidays are in full swing. Reach out and let’s get started!
